GLOW Preschool 2012-2013 Registration Information
 
January 28th from 9am-10am
Members of Grace Lutheran Church and previously enrolled families of GLOW Preschool may register for the upcoming preschool year.
 
February 4th from 9am-10am
Open Registration to all who are interested.
 
There is a registration fee of $35. Checks should be made payable to "GLOW Preschool".  The registration fee is refundable with written notification of withdrawal before August 1, 2012.
 
If you are registering an incoming student for our 3 year old program, a copy of the child's birth certificate is also required to verify that they are 3 years old by September 1, 2012.
 
Registration will be taken on a first come, first serve basis.
 
A one-time $25 fee for supplies will be due in September.
 
The first month's tuition is due August 15th, 2012.
 
Tuition for the 2012-2013 year is as follows:
   3 year old class  $1,125/year payable in 9 months ($125/month)
   4 year old class  $1,575/year payable in 9 months ($175/month)
 
The 3 year old class meets on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9am to 11am.
The 4 year old class meets on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 9am to 11:30am.

GLOW Preschool provides opportunities for young children to grow in all areas of their development.

Two classes are available, the 3 year old class and the 4 year old class.  Children must be potty trained before starting school.

The 3 Year Old Class

For children 3 years old by September 1st, our 2 hour program meets on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9am-11am.  Tuition is $125 each month, September through May.

Some highlights of this program include:

Teddy Bear Day, Indoor Winter Picnic, Hat Day, Open House, Thanksgiving Tasting Feast, Christmas Party & Program, field trips to a nature center and the Westchester Police & Fire Stations

Themes throughout the school year include:

Colors of the week, shapes, numbers, families, friends, transportation, animals, our 5 senses, seasons of the year, and holiday fun.

The 4 Year Old Class

For children 4 years old by September 1st, our 2.5 hour program meets on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 9am-11:30am.  Tuition is $175 each month, September through May.

Some highlights of this program include:

Bike Safety Day, Eskimo Olympics, Thanksgiving Tasting Feast, Christmas Party & Program, Field Trips to Willowbrook Nature Center, Oakbrook Terrace Park District Theater, and Fullersburg Nature Center.  Special guest visits from a nurse, dentist, librarian, police officer, and firefighter.

The 4 year old program is a pre-kindergarten program providing opportunities to prepare children for kindergarten.

Activities throughout the year center around the Letter of the Week, seasons, holidays, and current events.

Jan Jawor has been the Director and Teacher at GLOW since September 1995.  Jan earned her Bachelor of Science in Education from Northern Illinois University with a major in Elementary Education and a minor in Early Childhood Development.

Martha Hoekstra joined our teaching staff in September 2005 to assist in our 3 year old class. Martha brings 20 years of experience in Early Childhood Education to GLOW.

Laura Leibundguth has been a Teacher at GLOW since September 1991. Laura is a Teacher in both the 3 and 4 year old classes.

GLOW Preschool is licensed by the Department of Children and Family Services.  This means we meet the state standards for preschools and our license is renewed every three years.

Registration Information

To register, please call GLOW Preschool at (708) 681-4569.  Registration for previously enrolled families and church members begins the last Saturday in January.  Open registration begins the first Saturday in February.  Please call GLOW for exact dates and times.  Requirements for registration are: a completed registration form, a copy of the child's birth certificate, and a $35 registration fee.
